International online dance festival «DANCE onLINE» 2020
No matter how difficult the times are, in the course of two June days Saint Petersburg will again become the center of dance attraction. Everyone who wants can participate in it and staying at home. The main events will take place on Baltic Pearl partner platforms — YouTube, VKontakte, Facebook. All performances which you send us will be broadcast online. The international jury will evaluate in real-time.
The festival DANCE onLINE allows to break the barriers between the countries and to learn and expose the culture of nations from around the world. There is no need for travel expenses, plane tickets and pay for a hotel.
During dance festival will be arranged online conference (webinar) to discuss dance works with the jury, so dance group’s teachers will get a chance to ask a question in live broadcast.
The Grand Prix winner will be awarded a free trip to one of the next live International Dance Festival.

International Dance Festival is open for dance groups of different styles, ballet schools, soloists and duets. One dance group may participate in a few nominations and age divisions.
There is no age limit for participants.
All performers must be registered to the festival.

The Application Form is available in electronic form. Deadline for sending application form is 29 (th) May 2020. It is possible to correct application form (only part about performances), but no later than 29 (th) May 2020. After we receive the completed application form, we contact you and send the confirmation.
The total time of all videos of dance performances should not be over 20 minutes.
Accepted the following video files: MP4, MPEG4, MOV, AVI and WMV
Video should be provided in good quality
Video should be recorded no earlier than 1 year ago
Videos can be recorded on the stage as well as in the rehearsal space (the dancers should be dressed in dance outfit)
Each video should contain only one dance performance
The dance performance should be recorded from the beginning to the end (without pause)
Each participant must be clearly visible during all dances
The amateur videos are accepted, if the videos correspond with all technical requirements
The video files should be renamed with name of your group-nomination-dance name
You will be asked to re-record your video, if the video do not correspond with all technical requirements.

During the whole Dance Festival on 6. June, via webcam, you have the opportunity to watch the jury members in real time.
Final webinar with juries on 7. June is a great way for teachers and directors of dance schools to stay up to date with the latest developments in choreography and the opportunity to discuss each dance performance with experts.
The most essential and key principals of the Award and the Jury are objectivity, impartiality and uncompromising attitude.
The International Jury awards each dance group in each nomination and each age division based on the result protocols with Laureates I – III degrees and Diplomas I - III degrees.
The Grand Prix winner will be awarded a free trip (including accommodation) to one of the next International Dance Festival
Two Dance Groups will be awarded with Certificates that give you 30% discount for participation in one of the next International Dance Festival (Art Planet in Saint Petersburg, Volga Cup in Kazan, Slavic Gems in Minsk, Baltic Palette in Tallinn or Emerald in Nizhny Novgorod). You can find more about the Festivals on our homepage. The Certificates are valid until 31 May 2021
The Juries may award a number of participants or the heads of dance groups (or teachers) with the following Diplomas: “Best ballet master work”, “Best concert master work”, “Best virtuosity and dramatics», “Best contemporary work”
Diploma for each participant. Gratitude letters for teachers and sponsors.
The award fund of The Festival amounts 10,000 EUR.

Live broadcast with the jury - the international jury will view and evaluate all performances (dance works) in real-time.

10:00 – 11:30 – Online quiz to test your dance knowledge in choreography “Who Wants to Be a Dance Expert”. The quiz will take place in the official group in VK and Facebook. The winner will be announced at the online conference (webinar).
12:00 – 15:00 – The online conference (webinar) with the jury. Each dance group’s teacher will get a chance to ask a question in live broadcast and discuss the dance works. We will provide you with direct link for an access (only for the dance teams` leaders and teachers).
17:00 – 17:30 – Closing Ceremony of the International Online Dance Festival DANCE onLINE (YouTube channel of Baltic Pearl Creative Association)

The general fee is the only required fee. All other fees listed above are optional.
All registered applications will be processed by the organizing team. Furthermore, we will make a competitive program available for viewing.
All the video presented in the competition will be published on our YouTube channel. You will receive a direct link after applying for participation.
Dance sections will be formed according to nominations and age divisions.
Before the competition each dance group will get an information letter with the schedule of sections.
During the Dance Festival we will have a live broadcast with the jury. The international jury will view and evaluate all performances (dance works) in real-time.
We will also arrange an online conference (webinar) to discuss dance works with the jury, so dance group’s teachers will get a chance to ask a question in live broadcast. We will provide with a direct link for an access (only for the dance teams` leaders and teachers).
The online voting will be available in our official group in Facebook and VK. The results will be announced after the closing of competition. The winner will be awarded with prize.
Paper Diplomas, cups and memorable presents (medals) are mailed approximately within 7 working days after the competition date.
The team of professional, renowned and respected figures in the world of dance:
Butyrkin Valeriy (Moscow, Russia) – Choreographer, ballet-master, honored worker of culture of Russia, docent of The State Musical Pedagogical Institute named after M.M. Ippolitov-Ivanov.
Nikolay Semenov (Saint Petersburg, Russia) – Teacher of Boris Eifman Dance Academy; leading dancer of notable ballet performances: “The Nutcracker”, “Romeo and Juliet” and “Hamlet”. He is a perspective dancer who possesses high level dance technique.
Alisa Panchenko (Saint Petersburg, Russia) – Choreographer of the modern dance, professor in the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory, «Bye Bye ballet contemporary dance center», «Dance Academy Russia» and Dance House “Canon Dance”. In her work she is giving preferences to combination of modern choreography, physical theatre, drama theatre and improvisation. She was the winner of “Golden Mask” theatrical prize in 2013.
